FATE Consortium Organizes Session On Sidelines of World Future Energy Summit 2015

 

Abu Dhabi, UAE – January 21, 2015

In partnership with Masdar and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, FATE Consortium organized a session on the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit on the role Government as a Driver of Energy Innovation.

The session assembled energy experts, corporate executives and government officials to present their experiences on the role of government in energy innovation and provided a platform to Harvard Kennedy School students to share and validate their views on the topic.  Issues addressed included:

  • Appropriate roles for government to foster energy innovation;
  • Evaluation of the success of select government programs; and
  • Efficient mechanisms through which governments, NGOs and private enterprise can work collaboratively

Wael Almazeedi, Founder, FATE Consortium, acted as moderator.  Keynote speakers included, among others, Professor Fred Moavenzadeh, President, Masdar Institute; and Nejib Zaafrani, Former Secretary General, Dubai Supreme Council.
